Default 2015 Iron Butt Rally

As some of you may not know. This year is the "BIG" ride for the Iron Butt Assoc.. This event is held every other year (Odd years). I attached the link to their home page for this event this year. The riders are leaving out Monday morning for quite a journey on their scavenger list for the next 11 days. Details of the event are written by their elected scribe for each day. We won't know who's who, or what type of bike till Monday. I like to follow along on the Spot map page to watch their progress each day. I personally know 2 of the guys which makes it that much more interesting. Some on here know these guys as well.
The pre-event days articles are already up.

LoL... this thread reminded me that I STILL haven't turned in my paperwork for the BB1K I did two years ago. I wonder what the deadline window is for doing so.

My back hurts just thinking about riding 1k in a day.
That'll likely end up the next thing I'll need to have fixed, (or attempted to fix).
When they did my total knee replacements, they wanted to do a spinal, but couldn't get a needle in.....little or no space between the vertebra.

think about 1000 a day for 11 days straight.

Jnor and I did a half of that.... 493 mles a day for 11 days straight. That was enough for me. So much so I took the day after we got back off from riding (but was back at it the day after that lol)

The Dogs have been released, the game is on!

Theme this year is National Parks. To be a finisher, riders will have to visit 50 National Parks in 25 states! Also, laptops were sealed and taken from the riders, forcing them to do routing on paper maps.

HERE IS THE RALLY BONUS BOOK if you are interested in the "menu" that the riders are selecting from. A handfull in Ohio. One here in Chillicothe (Hopewell Culture National Historical Park) May have to check the spot tracking page to see if it looks like any riders heading there.
